Parkinson's disease is the second most frequent neurodegenerative, after Alzheimer's pathology. It is the most common movement, along with the tremors disorder.

Each year, are diagnosed about 10,000 new cases of Parkinson's in Spain.

In Spain between 150.00 and 120,000 people they suffer from the disease of Parkinson's, according to data from the Spanish Neurology Society (SEN).

It affects 2% of the population over 65 years of age. And 4% of the population over 85 years.

The prevalence is slightly higher in men than in women.

The average annual expenditure of a patient exceeds the 17,000 euros per year.
